Understanding Documents & Credits

Learn what tokens are, how they are consumed, and how to manage your usage.

Documents are what you pay for on Lymnus, and what you see in your usage — one document is roughly one file up to 10 pages (longer files use one document per started 10 pages). Every extraction, report, or agent run draws down your document balance.

Why "tokens" still shows up

Behind the documents number is a token ledger — tokens are the raw unit AI processing is measured in (roughly four characters of text). Lymnus converts your plan's token grant into a document allowance automatically, so you never need to think in tokens day to day. You may still see a token figure in fine print on your usage page — that's the same balance, just the underlying measure.

How many documents do I get?

Exact allowances depend on your plan and are shown live on the pricing page and in Billing → Usage — they're not repeated here because they change as plans are tuned, and a number written into a help article goes stale the next time that happens.

Rollover

On paid plans, unused document allowance rolls over to the following month, up to a maximum of one month's allocation.

How to check your usage

  1. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner.

  2. Go to Billing.

  3. You will see your remaining documents for this billing period, plus a breakdown by feature (extraction, processing, reports, agents).
