ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Lymnus platform and supplements the Terms of Service. By using Lymnus, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy is designed to ensure that the Lymnus platform is used responsibly, legally, and in a manner that does not harm Lemnia LLC, other users, third parties, or the public. We are committed to maintaining a safe, reliable, and trustworthy platform.


2. Permitted Uses

You may use the Lymnus platform only for lawful business purposes, including:

  • Extracting data from your own documents or documents you have the right to process

  • Processing and transforming datasets you own or are licensed to use

  • Generating synthetic data for legitimate business, research, or development purposes

  • Creating reports and analyses from your business data

  • Building automation workflows for your own organization's data processing needs

  • Integrating the Platform with authorized third-party services

  • Accessing the API for legitimate application development


3. Prohibited Uses

3.1 Illegal Activities

You may not use the Platform to:

  • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation

  • Engage in fraudulent activities or misrepresent your identity or affiliation

  • Facilitate or conceal money laundering, tax evasion, or other financial crimes

  • Distribute, generate, or process child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form — this is a zero-tolerance policy and will be reported to law enforcement

  • Process personal data of individuals under 18 years of age without appropriate legal basis, consent, or authority to do so

  • Violate export control laws or sanctions regulations

3.2 Harmful and Malicious Activities

  • Upload or transmit malware, viruses, ransomware, spyware, Trojans, or other malicious code

  • Conduct denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks against the Platform or any third party

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems, accounts, or data

  • Exploit vulnerabilities in the Platform or related infrastructure

  • Engage in phishing, social engineering, or any deceptive practice

  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Platform for other users

3.3 Privacy and Data Violations

  • Upload personal data of individuals without appropriate legal basis, consent, or authority to do so

  • Generate synthetic data designed to impersonate real, identifiable individuals without consent

  • Use the Platform to build profiles on individuals without lawful basis

  • Scrape or harvest personal data from third-party services in violation of their terms

  • Process health data (PHI), financial data, or other sensitive categories of data without appropriate safeguards and compliance measures

  • Attempt to re-identify individuals from anonymized or synthetic datasets

3.4 Intellectual Property Violations

  • Upload content that infringes any third party's copyright, trademark, trade secret, or other intellectual property right

  • Use AI-generated outputs in violation of third-party intellectual property rights

  • Attempt to extract or reverse-engineer the underlying AI models or proprietary algorithms used by the Platform

3.5 Platform Abuse

  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits, token restrictions, or to receive free tier benefits beyond what is authorized

  • Share account credentials with unauthorized individuals

  • Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialize access to the Platform without express written authorization from Lemnia LLC

  • Use the Platform to build a directly competing product without authorization

  • Use automated bots or scripts to access the Platform in ways not supported by our API

  • Attempt to circumvent billing systems, token counters, or access controls

3.6 Harmful Content Generation

You may not use the Platform's AI features to generate:

  • Content that promotes, glorifies, or incites violence, terrorism, or mass harm

  • Content that constitutes hate speech targeting individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or other protected characteristics

  • Disinformation, deepfakes, or synthetic media designed to deceive

  • Content designed to harass, stalk, bully, or intimidate specific individuals

  • Synthetic personal data used for fraudulent identity documents or verification bypass

3.7 AI-Specific Restrictions

  • You may not use the Platform's AI processing capabilities to train or improve any external AI or machine learning models, including your own or those of third parties

  • You may not attempt to extract training data or model weights from the Platform's AI systems

  • You may not use the Platform to generate AI-generated content and present it as human-authored in contexts where this disclosure is legally required


4. Resource Usage

To ensure fair access for all users, you must:

  • Not artificially inflate token consumption through repetitive, automated, or programmatic abuse

  • Not use the Platform for tasks entirely unrelated to its core data intelligence features (e.g., cryptocurrency mining)

  • Stay within your plan's processing limits and not attempt to bypass queue management systems

  • Operate automation agents within documented frequency limits and not design them to abuse free tiers


5. Security Responsibilities

You are responsible for the security of your account and any data you upload. You must:

  • Use strong, unique passwords and enable two-factor authentication

  • Keep API tokens secure and rotate them regularly

  • Immediately report suspected account compromises to contact@lymnus.com

  • Not attempt to probe, scan, or test the security of the Platform without prior written authorization from Lemnia LLC

Authorized security researchers who discover vulnerabilities should report them responsibly via our security disclosure program at contact@lymnus.com.


6. Enforcement

6.1 Monitoring

We may monitor usage of the Platform for violations of this AUP. We do not routinely review uploaded file content, but we may do so when we have reason to believe a violation has occurred.

6.2 Consequences of Violations

Depending on the severity and nature of the violation, we may take the following actions:

  • Issue a warning

  • Temporarily suspend account access

  • Permanently terminate the account without refund

  • Remove or disable access to violating content

  • Report the activity to law enforcement authorities

  • Seek injunctive relief or other legal remedies

6.3 No Refunds for Policy Violations

Accounts terminated due to AUP violations are not entitled to refunds of any unused subscription fees or token balances.


7. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP by any user, please report it to:

We investigate all reports and take appropriate action, though we may not be able to disclose the outcome of an investigation due to privacy or legal constraints.


8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
